The couplings at the sides of the panel are connected by a polycarbonate clip and are located outside the water-bearing layer. Therefore, this system is also suitable for low roof slopes from 5°.

Transulcent building elements
Our translucent building elements are also suitable for installation in the roof area. Here we recommend a minimum roof pitch of 15°.

Questions and answers
about our translucent roof systems.
Usually, the choice of the right roofing panel depends on factors such as wind or snow load, required thermal properties or sound insulation properties, light transmission or even other project conditions. Feel free to contact us!
For our U-panels we recommend a minimum roof pitch of 5°, for translucent building elements 15°.
Regardless of a systems minimum pitch, we generally recommend to choose the roof pitch as large as possible so that dirt deposits are also dissolved by rainwater run-off.
The light transmission of our products is expressed as a percentage – from 0% to 100%.
Depending on the colouring and choice of product, these values differ. Thinner products in a crystalline colouring allow much more light to pass through than thicker products in a dark colouring, for example. Light-diffusing colourations such as opal colours, or even matte surfaces can also let a lot of diffuse light into the building.
The pure water cleaning systems (osmosis process) have proven their worth for cleaning polycarbonate elements. Alternatively, water with a small amount of neutral detergent can be used for cleaning. However, please do not use glass cleaners, abrasive agents or sharp-edged objects. Do not use alkaline cleaners containing surfactants or gasoline. Before cleaning the entire surface with a detergent, test the detergent on a small inconspicuous area to make sure it will not cause damage.
